What a dream it was to be part of Grace and Dalton’s elegant June wedding at the Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. I loved getting to know this couple first during their USF engagement session and then their wedding, and being able to capture some really beautiful, emotional, and important moments for them.

Their story

Grace and Dalton are high school sweethearts who bonded over their mutual love of baseball. Grace is a Tampa Bay Rays fan, while Dalton roots for the Red Sox, which might make for a few tense moments every now and then! Plus, Dalton played baseball at USF, where they both graduated from — go Bulls! (Fellow USF Alumni here too!) This year was huge for them because they were able to purchase their first home and get married.

The big day

Their elegant June wedding took place at the Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. I love this venue for its incredibly scenic grounds. It’s a treat to have some old architecture to photograph as well. You can stay in the club as a hotel or play some rounds on their golf course, filled with Spanish oak trees. It’s also five minutes from my house, and who doesn’t enjoy a commute like that?!

It was so special to be able to capture some really important moments for the couple. I love the look on Grace’s parents’ faces when they first saw their daughter in her wedding gown. You can really see the love there. Another special family moment was the Christian ceremony at Grace’s dad’s church, which he founded twenty years ago. He actually married Grace and Dalton, which was so emotional and meaningful! He pulled up photos of Grace over the years in a slideshow and it was great hearing all the family stories.

The details of Grace and Dalton’s elegant June wedding are just so classy and timeless. That stunning teardrop ring! Those creamy white roses with a touch of outdoorsy vibes! That veil! Everything came together so perfectly. 

Grace and Dalton survived 100-degree weather and thunderstorms on their wedding day, while still looking flawless, which means they can survive anything. They had the best time on the dance floor and in their photo booth, and celebrating with all of their loved ones. Finally, that Lego cake topper was such a fun nod to their personalities 🙂

What’s next for the couple

I loved following along on their adventures in Europe (Portugal, Spain, and Ireland!) for their extended honeymoon. They even ran into Bono at an Irish pub – what a honeymoon story! I know they’re having the best time enjoying these first few weeks of married life.
