I can’t get over this charming Sarasota engagement shoot and how amazing it feels to be able to provide my couples with so many happy memories. SalliJean and Greg were such a dream to photograph. Their positive energy was infectious – SJ is so bubbly, Greg is so easy going, and we immediately bonded over a love of buying fancy lattes just to make our days a little happier. 

SalliJean (also known by the nickname SJ) and Greg live in New Jersey, but love to travel and experience new things and places. They got engaged in Lake George, one of the most beautiful spots in upstate New York. We took their engagement photos at Siesta Key Beach (even prettier than the MTV show, shows haha), and in January, they’ll be getting married in a destination wedding at the Esplanade Lakewood Ranch near Sarasota, Florida. I’m so excited they picked Florida for their big day. It’s a spot close to their parents and now I get to share the day with them, too! They also picked an amazing venue and planner (Lauren from MDP Events, one of my fave vendors to work with).

We got to explore the Sarasota area during SJ and Greg’s charming engagement session. 

First, we went to Siesta Key Beach. This is such a beautiful spot to walk around and photograph! The lighting for their jeans-and-tees photos is just so dreamy. We had a lot of fun exploring the different beach access spots over there. That gorgeous classic solitaire ring photographed so well, too 🙂 You all know I love a classic, timeless vibe. And finally, can we talk about SJ’s black-and-white jumpsuit against the palm tree and tall grassy backdrop? So classy and perfect. We even had a visit from a random beach guest who wanted her photo with them, they looked so good. 

Next, we hopped over to Phillippi Estate Park for a different look and feel — as well as an outfit change! How sweet are the shots of SJ and Greg in the doorway of the Edson Keith Mansion? And those teal shutters! The gardens around this historic home are also so beautiful. It was my first time photographing at this location and I was immediately in love with how quaint it is. It’s a great spot for a family picnic, or you know, an engagement session. It was such a joy to be able to capture these moments for SJ and Greg during their Sarasota engagement session. Thanks for flying down and spending your whole evening with me! We were having so much fun we literately took photos until the sun went down. These two are so in love and I absolutely cannot WAIT til January.
