Double the joy in this beautiful, beach engagement and maternity session at Cypress Point Park! I am so excited to capture Amanda and Pete’s big year.

These two lovebirds definitely had a meet-cute right out of a rom-com. Amanda was a bartender in Vegas, working the morning shift, when Pete — who was on a work trip — sat down for a glass of water. They chatted a bit and hit it off, so Pete tried his luck and gave her his number. Vegas makes you do crazy things… 

Next thing you know, Amanda was moving across the country, to Florida, to try the whole dating thing.

I’d say it worked out for them, and then some!

They’ll be getting married this coming October, at the Omni Amelia Island in Jacksonville — but first, they’ve got yet another big, exciting life moment to celebrate. Their first child, a baby boy, is on the way and due in July. These two will be such great parents, like they already are for their first baby: their doggie Waylon. The goodest boy!

We had amazing weather for this session, and the most incredible Tampa Bay sunset, but Amanda and Pete would have lit up any photo. Their love is so palpable and magnetic. Just look at the way they’re looking at each other! Amanda is truly glowing during her pregnancy and has the cutest baby bump. Her solo sunset portraits could not have been a better setting, since she loves the beach now that she resides in Florida. 

I can’t wait to keep capturing their magic in just a few months. They have friends and family flying in from New York, where Amanda is originally from, to celebrate this movie-worthy love story. But first, enjoy some of the dreamiest photos from this beach engagement and maternity session:
