Meet Abby and Conor: Florida natives, high school sweethearts, and absolutely in giddy and giggly love! They had their engagement session at Cypress Point Park amongst the sand dunes, sea grass, white sand, and reflective water., with a view of Tampa Bay Undoubtedly, it’s a scene perfectly set to capture the love of this happily engaged couple. Plus, it’s a favorite session spot among my clients. You’ll see it highlighted on my Instagram, here, frequently!
The Couple
Abby just graduated USF, which happens to be my alma mater, too. Go Bulls! Because I love supporting fellow alumni, I was extra happy to do their gifted Cypress Point beach engagement session. A little tip for engaged couples – most of my wedding packages include one so you can get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Abby and Conor are high school sweethearts (so rare now! so cute!) when they were both on swim team. Unlike most people I know, they are both Florida natives, which is actually a rare thing to be in this ever-growing state. The variety of the coastal backdrop of this Tampa park was a perfect setting for these Floridians to show off their love for each other. They were perfectly at ease in the sand and water, looking gorgeous and natural. Being from a water-filled and flat state, their bucket list honeymoon includes mountain destinations. Mountains is something we easily bonded over since my husband and I love traveling to hiking landscapes that are a stark contrast from here. I can’t wait to see where they choose!
The beach engagement session
Abby had two super cute dresses to wear during the session. Basically, having more than one outfit is such a fun way to show off different sides of your personality, especially if you’re indecisive like me. She has a gorgeous emerald cut, timeless, ring that sparkled in the sunlight at their Cypress Point beach engagement session. The beachy setting provided a casual, natural, setting to showcase their love. While our golden hour was perfect, there was a nice breeze flowing through the blooming muhley grass, and the reflection off the water sparkled during sunset. They were like a couple in a little Hallmark movie. Movies like that are definitely my guilty pleasure. Give me all the Christmas ones too!
Afterwards, at the end of the session, the couple agreed to take some fun, playful photos in the water. Their smiles and love were so easy to capture! It was the perfect ending to a perfect engagement shoot. I wish nothing but the best for this fun-loving Florida couple and am excited to see them for their wedding this fall at The Venue at the Block.
